Cannabis Use At The North Peace Regional Airport

Cannabis use is governed by specific regulations at the North Peace Regional Airport. This includes areas outside of the terminal building, even those designated for tobacco smoking or vaping. Our policy on cannabis consumption aligns with the City of Fort St. John’s regulations and bylaws.

travelling with cannabis

passengers are permitted to travel within Canada with up to 30 grams of cannabis in their possession. The passenger will have to be of legal age, of the provinces or territories they are travelling through. Travelling with any more than this amount is illegal for non-medicinal purposes.

Travellers are responsible for their actions at all times. Regulations around travelling while impaired has not changed.

“No operator of an aircraft shall allow a person to board the aircraft where there are reasonable grounds to believe that the person’s faculties are impaired by alcohol or a drug to an extent that may present a hazard to the aircraft or to persons on board the aircraft.”
